What a great American place to stop. I chatted with the owner for a bit, so glad I got to meet him. Such a nice guy just trying to keep a bit of the town alive. Not the best food but a least there is something there! Please support if you are passing through.

Cozy little spot for a bite to eat. They have some neat stuff hanging up on the walls inside to look at. They also have a drive in.

A big group of us were just there May 20, 2025 (mid afternoon ish) on our way through from riding our side x sides. The owner was just leaving and knew he was short staff. So he turned around and came back to help his staff & us (not many owners do that for their staff). The waitress worked her butt off and made everything a delight. The owner & his wife came out and talked with us and we had a blast speaking with them while we all ate. I think we ended up being there for about an hour & a half, lol. Food was amazing (strawberry pie was delicious), and even better, their prices are super reasonable. I recommend everyone stop here & eat. Best place in War to eat, hands down. 5 star business for sure... We're definitely be back!

Food is usually good when we visit here (we come through for work every 3 months in the town). The last time, however, the younger woman got the order wrong (added mayo, forgot the egg and cheese on the BLT+egg+cheese sandwich). Replaced the sandwich (still forgot the cheese on the new sandwich) but apparently brought out the same fries because they were cold. The potato wedges we also ordered were fresh, hot, and delicious, however. But the atmosphere is always nice, the owner always comes out to ask after us and say hello, ask about the meal, which is nice.

Great small town grill. We always stop by when riding the trails! Prices are a little high but there is not many places to eat in War. Food is always good! Always fun to talk with the locals!

Sometimes it’s wait if they have 4-wheelers & side x sides sitting there. Sometimes it don’t take long at all. Summer is riding season for the Trails so may be busy then. But no problem. Those girls work hard
